Marjan Increment Project - PK-6

Ali Fouad Al Bannawi General Contracting Company played a key role as a subcontractor in the Marjan Increment Projects by partnering with Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) to execute critical scopes of work related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, as well as Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.

As part of this collaboration, Ali Fouad Al Bannawi Gen Contracting Co. was responsible for the comprehensive installation and integration of various types of HVAC systems, essential for maintaining environmental control, air quality, and thermal comfort across the vast and complex project infrastructure. This included:

  • Chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled), for large-scale cooling demands

  • Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs), for distribution of conditioned air

  • Package Units (DX systems), used in specific localized cooling zones

  • Ventilation systems, such as exhaust fans, fresh air fans, and pressurization fans, installed in mechanical rooms, electrical substations, and hazardous gas zones

  • Ductwork systems, including supply, return, and exhaust ducts, fabricated, installed, and insulated according to Aramco and international standards

  • Piping systems for chilled water, condensate drainage, and refrigerant lines

  • Controls and instrumentation, integrated into the Building Management System (BMS) for centralized monitoring and energy efficiency

In addition to HVAC, the company also performed comprehensive fire fighting system works, which are critical in oil and gas facilities. These included:

  • Installation of fire pumps (diesel, electric, and jockey types)

  • Firewater piping networks, including underground and aboveground systems

  • Sprinkler systems, designed for coverage in control rooms, technical buildings, and substations

  • Fire hose cabinets, extinguishers, and hydrants, strategically placed for accessibility

  • Gas suppression systems, especially in data and control rooms, using clean agents like FM200 or Novec 1230

  • Fire alarm system integration, with detection devices such as smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, and audible alarms

Ali Fouad Al Bannawi Gen Contracting Co. ensured that all installations adhered strictly to Aramco’s engineering standards, international safety codes, and project quality management procedures, playing a vital role in maintaining the high safety, reliability, and performance standards required for such a large-scale offshore oil and gas facility. Their experience, skilled workforce, and commitment to execution excellence contributed to the overall success and timely progress of the Marjan Increment Program, reinforcing the company's reputation as a capable and reliable partner in complex industrial projects.
